Last weekend the senior complex where my dad lives hosted a birthday party for those celebrating birthdays in September, including my dad and Joshua (since he was going to be there away).

What's a party without balloons?
Nate was a big helper. Look at those cheeks!
Joshua was the only one tall enough to hang the balloons.

A lot of fun was had. I think Papa was surprised to have everyone there. He seemed to enjoy himself.

Some of you may remember, last summer I had a little addition to our family for about two weeks, when his baby brother was born early. Well this weekend we had both of them, when their little sister was born Friday evening. Princess Savannah Gaberiella Ware (yes, her first name, on her birth certificate, in Princess) weighed in at 6lbs 4oz (I think). She was bigger than her big brothers (the littlest two anyway, she has FOUR older brothers).

Of course, Aunt Sheri was one of her first visiters. When I arrived, she was dressed in the hospital t-shirt and had a little pink bow glued to her head. I came bearing little pink things. Mom was feeling pretty good (with the good drugs), so I got to dress her in pink for the first time. I also got to take her first picture, since mom and dad didn't have a camera. If I do say so myself, this is a great picture of a baby less than a day old. She was so alert; and is just a very pretty baby!

Then, I wrapped her back up and just sat and snuggled her for a while. This is what I saw as I held her. Isn't she precious?

It's not about her being a girl. There's just something about holding a newborn that makes my heart smile. Almost...makes me want another one. I'll just have to borrow these guys occasionally. I had fun with the little boys this weekend; but it was nice to take them back home. Maybe, I'm getting too old for this...
